Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction Office of Native Education (OSPI ONE) - Tribal Sovereignty Curriculum

The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, Office of Native Education (OSPI ONE) has published the Since Time Immemorial: Tribal Sovereignty in Washington State curriculum.  In 2015, the Legislature made it a requirement for this curriculum to be taught in all schools (SB 5433).  In 2024, the Legislature passed House Bill 1879 naming the curriculum in honor of John McCoy (lulilaš).  Please visit OSPI ONE's website for more information and to access the curriculum - John McCoy (lulilaš) Since Time Immemorial: Tribal Sovereignty in Washington State.
